Republican Inter-Sectoral Industrial Fair started in Tashkent
In the center of UzExpo located in Tashkent city, the Republican inter-industry fair has started its work.
“Global Optical Communication Uzbekistan”, founded by Uztelecom joint-stock company and established in cooperation with the Republic of Korea, is participating in this fair with its products.
Currently, it is creating additional jobs while introducing new products. The Uzbekistan-Korea joint venture “Global Optical Communication Uzbekistan” in Jizzakh was established in 2020 and is located on 4.5 hectares. Of this, more than 5,000 square meters is the main production area. Currently, the enterprise produces optical fiber communication cables.
Within the implementation of this project, 11 million US dollars were appropriated and 120 new jobs were created. And 85000 km. The production capacity of optical communication cables has been established.
During the past year 2022, the enterprise has covered a total of 25,720 km. the product is produced, and in 2023 this indicator will be 70,000 km. is expected to be established. In 2023, the level of localization of product production has reached 45%. An additional 30 new jobs were created at the enterprise, says Moon Chul HWAN – technical director of “GLOBAL OPTICAL COMMUNICATION UZBEKISTAN” LLC.
Optical fiber cable products of the enterprise are produced based on high technologies of Korea, China, Japan, and Europe.
Qualified specialists from the Republic of Korea were also involved in the production process to further improve the quality of products. In addition, the enterprise has a quality control laboratory.
