GOC-UZ and Kyrgyztelecom Signed a Cooperation Agreement

As the telecommunications sector continues to develop, the demand for modern telecommunication services among the population is also increasing. This, in turn, necessitates the introduction of new directions in the sector and the expansion of international cooperation.

Taking this into account, on April 14–15, 2025, Tashkent hosted one of the most significant events of the year in the field of digital technologies – the International Wholesale Telecommunications Congress (IWTC). The congress, held in Uzbekistan for the second time, brought together leading representatives of the telecommunications market from dozens of countries. During the forum, GOC-UZ signed a memorandum of cooperation with Kyrgyztelecom OJSC , as well as an export contract for the supply of fiber-optic cable based on their first order.

It is worth noting that the joint venture “Global Optical Communication Uzbekistan,” established in the “Jizzakh” Free Economic Zone in cooperation with “Uzbektelecom” JSC and South Korean companies, specializes in the production of more than 50,000 km of various types of fiber-optic communication cables annually.

In addition to this, “Kyrgyztelecom” OJSC is the leading telecommunications company in Kyrgyzstan and serves as the national operator for international and long-distance telecommunications. One of the company’s primary goals is to deliver telecommunication services to government agencies, businesses, legal entities, and individuals across the Kyrgyz Republic. Kyrgyztelecom OJSC offers a comprehensive range of services, including local, long-distance, and international telephone services, data transmission, telegraphy, cable broadcasting, channel leasing, and internet access.
