Visit of Ambassadors to GOC-UZ

On June 16-17, 2025, a delegation of Uzbekistan’s ambassadors to South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore visited Jizzakh Province as part of their official program. The delegation arrived in Jizzakh on Sunday, June 16, and on June 17, they visited Global Optical Communication LLC Joint Venture, a leading enterprise in the production of fiber-optic cables.

The delegation included the following ambassadors of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

  • Alisher Abdusalomov – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea.
  • Mukhsinkhodja Abdurahmonov – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan.
  • Oybek Eshonov – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Indonesia.
  • Alisher Kayumov – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Singapore.

During the visit to GOC-UZ, the ambassadors were introduced to the enterprise’s advanced production facilities and its full-cycle manufacturing process for various types of optical fiber communication cables. GOC-UZ, a joint venture with Uzbektelecom JSC and prominent South Korean partners, produces over 50,000 km of fiber-optic cables annually, significantly contributing to the development of digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan and the broader region.


Discussions during the visit focused on exploring export opportunities for GOC-UZ’s high-quality fiber-optic cables to international markets, including South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and Singapore. The ambassadors expressed keen interest in the enterprise’s operations and its potential to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the global telecommunications industry. Both parties emphasized the importance of fostering international partnerships to support digital transformation and enhance connectivity across the region.
